An Abundance of Labor; A Crisis of Talent: How Technology is Impacting our Workplace & Workforce
Many business owners and HR departments recognize that although we hear the large numbers of Americans that are unemployed or underemployed we still have had much difficulty in finding qualified candidates to fill our open positions. Often times we settle for a candidate with far less skills, knowledge, or experience because we need somebody to do the work. What you may not recognize is the crisis that lies ahead for American businesses. The task of filling open positions with skilled workers will become increasingly difficult as the Baby Boomer generation continues to leave the workforce while technological improvements occur at ever-increasing rates and our educational system and current workforce isn’t keeping pace with technology and process improvements. Businesses will need to change the way they operate not only within their organization but within their community. Businesses that don’t may be forced to close or sell simply because they won’t have the workers to keep their business operating. Come to this seminar to help understand the problem that looms in the not-so-distant future and what your company can do to help survive the approaching talent cliff that our country is facing.
